the use of boxes

September 7, 2011

Why do we put things in boxes?

Because we need to protect them and keep them in a safe place.

Then what about things like computers and iPods? They’re basically boxes with things in them.

Yes? What about them?

Do we put those things in boxes too?

Yes.

So we’re putting a box in a box.

Yes.

What’s the point of putting boxes into boxes?

Well because those boxes do things other than just protecting stuff. Those boxes need to be protected.

how shared experiences contribute towards minimalist conversations

so my friend and i saw some doves one day. for me it was the first time seeing them. in a display of very poor parenting one dove took a giant dump right in front of us. for some reason is was orange-yellowish and had a consistency somewhere in between thick and watery. surely, i was disgusted.

later that day during lunch we had a desert that was something like pureed pumpkin. my friend looked at it and said “i’m going to tell you something after we eat” . I immediately knew that we was talking about and was not amused. “Screw you man. i’m trying to eat here. oh my god UGH i don’t want to think about it.

a sad story i thought of

May 27, 2011

there was once a girl who live near a forest. one day she found a secret tree from which the most handsome man was born. he was charming, caring, smart, and everything the girl ever wanted. She immediately fell in love with him, and he did too.

they spent all their time doing everything together, everyday. they were inseparable.

one day, in the fall, her love whithered away and returned to the earth. she was heartbroken. all winter she stayed in her home mourning his loss.

when spring came she started going out again and explored the woods once again. after passing by the same secret tree she saw that another man had been born from it. it wasn’t the same person though, as when they die they die, but he was just as lovely. they soon fell in love with each other and lived happy lives until when fall came again and he had to die. she would be heartbroken again.

this cycle went on forever with her falling in love, being heartbroken, and finding it again. she knew that she would end up sad after each lover died, but she did it anyways for the rest of her life.

i’m back in action!

October 19, 2010

hey, im so sorry i havnt posted in a while. my imagination just got back from a long vacation. so here it is:

do you know Derrek Imos? nobody can truly know him.
what does he do? what did he do?
well, he now rests in a small cubby, in a jar where his ashes lay.
he is dead and yet he is immortal. in his life he told everyone everything about himself, from the trivial to his deepest secrets. so we should know who he is right? no.
the thing is, he told EVERYONE EVERYTHING about himself.
his identity is scattered among his many friends, what one friend knows, another doesnt.
they try to remember him and celebrate him but when they gather to reminisce they find a conflict in their understanding of him.
he always told the truth when it came to his identity and secrets. his friends often had conflicted understanding of him.
he told different secrets during different stages of his life, no one’s identity is constant.
they try to remember him but reach no consensus, what a mystery he must be then. they wonder is anything he confided and entrusted to them held true. this mysterious man, who is he? did they really know him? and so goes the story of a man who made himself immortal by tearing his identity apart and leaving each friend a piece of the impossible puzzle.

April 30, 2010

since people tend to love secrets and the like. they enjoy drinking with others because after a few drinks they start saying interesting things, which may be ramblings on some obscure subject or some secret that nobody knew about.
